What information do I need to use the reconstitution calculator?
You need three values: the total peptide amount in the vial (for example, in mg), the volume of bacteriostatic water you added, and the dose you want to record. From these the calculator derives the concentration and the volume or units to draw. All values come from you and your provider; the app only does the arithmetic.
How does the calculator convert a dose into syringe units?
It first finds the concentration (vial amount ÷ water added), then the volume (dose ÷ concentration), then the units (volume × 100 for a U-100 syringe). For example, 5 mg in 2 mL is 2.5 mg/mL; a 0.25 mg dose is 0.1 mL, or 10 units. This is shown as an example of the reconstitution math, not a recommended dose.
Does the reconstitution calculator tell me how much to take?
No. The calculator only converts the numbers you enter into syringe units; it never recommends a dose, diagnose, or treat any condition. The dose you enter should be directed by your healthcare provider or product labeling. PeptideWiz provides the calculator for general education and tracking only.
